Pra- dhāna-mahāmātya Mārasiṅgayya and others when Mahā- maṇḍalēśvara Harikēsaridēva of the Kadamba family was governing Banavāsi─12,000 and Pānuṅgal─500. Lachchala-Mahādēvi, the queen of Trailōkyamalla is stated to be governing the village (ūru).
