This damaged and fragmentary inscription engraved in continuation of No. 286
above may be, on palaeographical grounds, assigned to the 10th century during
which no other Parakesari except Parantaka I ruled for at least 20 years.
Hence this inscription may belong to Parantaka I.
This seems to record an endowment of 40 kalanju for a perpetual lamp by a native
(?) of Kodungolur in Malai-nadu.
