This inscription is dated in the reign of Madiraikonda
Parakesari.
It records the endowment of sheep for a perpetual lamp for
god Tiruttanronrip Pe[rumanadigal] by Ku[rra]nchenan of Nambipuram in
Pa[n]di-nadu, an agent of Brahmapallavaraiyar.

This inscription is in fragments. One of the fragments is dated in the reign of Madiraikonda
Parakesarivarman, i.e., Parantaka I.
The first piece seems to record a gift of gold for a
perpetual lamp and mentions . . . . . . . . ngai [Sa]nkara[n Rana]singan and
the sabha of Tiruchchogunur in Kudavurnadu in Tiruvengadakottam. The second piece seems to register another
gift of 88 kalanju for a perpetual lamp and other services.

in Idaiyala-nadu for a perpetual lamp to Tirumulattanattu-pperumanadigal in
Tirumilakkunram.

This records the gift of 90 sheep, by Manimarpayan, son of
Nallaman Solaviâ¦an of Marudur in Kaimalai-nadu in Gangapadi, for burning a
perpetual lamp to the god Mahadeva at Tirumaraikkadu, with one ulakku of
ghee, daily by the measure called Tirumaraikkadan.
There is another damaged inscription along with this, which
seems to record a provision of 1 tuni and 1 padakku of paddy to
the same day.

This inscription is dated in the reign of Madiraikonda
Parakesari.
It records the gift of 60 kalanju of gold to god
Mahadeva of Tirumaraikkadu, a perundevadana in Umbala-nadu for the maintenance (jivitam) of one
Brahmana well versed in the Vedas and archchanavidhi serving the
god during the 3 sandhis, by Va.san De[var]. Kadamban of Mananilainallur, a brahmadeya in Kalakkudi-nadu in Pandiinadu. The sabha of Narukadambidu-chchaturvedimangalam a merruni (?) brahmadeya
in the same nadu, received the amount and agreed to provide paddy for the
purpose, as interest on the amount endowed.

It records the endowment of 90 sheep for a perpetual lamp to
god Mahadeva in Tirumaraikkadu, a perundevadana in Umbala-nadu by
Marudurudaiyan Arunidi Kaliyan of Marudur in Purangarambai-nadu, an officer
under the king. The measure Tirumaraikkadan
is mentioned.

This inscription is dated in the reign of Madiraikonda
Parakesari. The date which is not clear
on the impression in the office had been subsequently read in situ.
It records an endowment of 90 sheep for a perpetual lamp for
god Alvar in Tirumaraikkadu, a perundevadana in Umbala-nadu, by a native
of Arvala-kkurram. The measure Tirumaraikkadan
is mentioned.

This inscription is dated in the reign of Madiraikonda
Parakesarivarman.
It records that at the instance of Amudan Kanchan, the
administrator of the district (nadu seyinra), arrangement was made for
the supply of curd-rice to god Alvar in Tirumaraikkadu for which some fields
were endowed by Siyavur Kadanaiyan, [Kana]rrambulavur and Kanchambulavur.

This inscription is dated in the reign of Madiraikonda
Parakesari.
It records the gift of 96 sheep for a perpetual lamp for god
Mahadeva in Tirumaraikkadu, a perundevadana in Umbala-nadu, by
Irumudisola Anukki[li] Chchaman-achchan I.kanach[cha]n, for the merit of his
sister. The sisterâs mother
[I}la[tta]nangai is stated to have been a servant in the big palace
establishment (periyavelam) at Tanjavur.

This inscription records the gift of 90 sheep, by
Maninakka-pirattiyar, wife of Sembiyan Muvendavelar alias Sattan Ulagan
of Vandalanjeri in Ninrayur-nadu for burning a perpetual lamp to the deity with
one ulakku of ghee by the measure Tirumaraikkadan.

in front of the Tyagaraja shrine in the Vedaranyesvara temple. Parantaka I. Year 32
: 938 â 39 A.D.
This inscription with is partly in verse describes the king
Parantaka as one who destroyed the fortified (city of) Madurai. It seems to refer to an encounter between
the Chola king and the king of the Singhalas (Singalar-kon).
It records the gift of 90 sheep by Gunavan, an illustrious
native of Idaiyur for a perpetual lamp to the god at Tirumaraikkadu on the
occasion of his return after defeating the king of the Singalas.

The date-portion of the record is badly damaged. The reference to the conquest of Ceylon
seems to indicate the year 43. This
records the gift of 90 sheep by the children (makkal) of Kari-Satti, a
servant in the palace-establishment of Kilanadigal i.e., the queen, for burning
a perpetual lamp to the deity with one ulakku of ghee daily, by the
measure called Tirumaraikkadan.

On the west wall of the mandapa in front of the
Achalesvara
shrine in the south-east corner of the second
prakara in the
Tyagarajasvamin temple, right of entrance.

: 939 A.D.
This record is dated in the 232nd day of the 32nd
regnal year of Maduraikonda Parakesarivarman, i.e., Parantaka I. The inscription appears to be a later copy
as the characters are assignable only to the 12th century.
This records an undertaking given by the sabha of

to Sri Kurakkutturai-pperumanadigal by the Mulaparadai of
Mahendramangalam, a brahmadeya for 156 ½ kalanju received
from Tirukkurakkutturai Nambi alias Panachchan Narayanan[chokkan].
The name of the madhyasthan of the paradai is
given as Indana Muvanan.

This inscription is dated in the reign of Madiraikonda
Parakesarivarman.
It records a grant of 12 kalanju for a perpetual
lamp, on nilaivilakku, a copper pitcher for the occasion of the eclipse
and one silver platter for adaikkay-amudu to god Paramesvara of
Tirukurakkutturai in Mahendramangalam by Pagan Sarpadevan alias Sembiyan
Kila[r]nattukon of Kilinallur in Kila[r*]kurram.

This damaged inscription gives only the regnal year 30 of a
king whose name is lost. Palaeography,
the mention of Kappiyan Eluvan Gangadharan who figures in another inscription
from the same place (S.I.I., Vol. XIII, No. 2)cribbed to the reign of
Gandaraditya and the high regnal year point to the identity of the king of the
record with Parantaka I.
It seems to record a sale of land made free of taxes, like irai,
echchoru, vetti and vedinai to the god for a tiruvilakku by the mulaparidai for the gold received fro the purpose from Kappiyan Eluvan Gangadharan.

This inscription is dated in the reign of Madiraikonda
Paakesarivarman i.e., Parantaka I.
It records a gift of land to Tirukurakkutturai Perumanadigal
of Mahendramangalam, a brahmadeya, for a lamp by Kali Nili and brahmani
of Panachchan Narayanan Krishanan of that place. Panchchan Narayanan-Chendan was her guardian. The land is stated to have been acquired
from her husband for her maintenance (soru-kurai).

This records a sale of land to
[Tirukkurakkutturai]p-Perumanadigal for 2 kalanju. The portion
containing the other details is damaged. This also records another endowment of 5 kalanju for a day lamp
to god Perumanadigal.

This inscription is dated in the reign of Madiraikonda
Parakesarivarman. A transaction made in
the 19th year is also mentioned.
It records a sale of land made free of the taxes, irai,
echchoru, vetti vedanai, to Tirukkurakkutturaip-Perumanadiga, by the mulaparadai of Mahendramangalam, a brahmadeya receiving
gold worth 233 kalanju and 5 ½ ma
, this amount being probably the dues on account of the panchavaranellu to Kurumbiludaiyar and
Naranamangala-mudaiyar, by Gangayattu Solakonar.
