Maner.—Jāmi‘ mosque. Slab fixed over the central entrance.

Mughal Aurangzeb A. H.1103=1691- 92 A.D. Persian verse, Nasta‘ līq.

States that the mosque originally constructed by Maulavī ‘Abdu’sh Shakūr which had fallen in ruins, was during the reign of Aurangzeb rebuilt by Ibrāhīm Khān, a Quarish by birth and a descendant of Khān-i-Khānān, son of Kabīr.

States that Khādim ‘Alī, a landlord of Maner, carried out repairs to the mosque constructed by Maulavī ‘ Abdu ’ Shakūr and rebuilt by Ibrāhīm Khān. The name of the composer is Bashīr. The inscription slab is stated to have been carved at Madina and brought to Maner.

Damaged. After religious texts, gives a chronogram by ‘Āsī, stating that this lofty construction, Ka‘ba-like and world-decorating place of worship (mosque), was constructed by Ibrāhīm, Khān.
