TIRALPUR, NAVALGUND TALUK, DHARWAR DISTRICT

On a slab lying in a field about a mile to the south of the village

Ciraca 16th century

It states that Vithalpura was another name of Sirekona.  The inscriptions is in Nagari characters.

ALKOPPAR, MUDDEBIHAL TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a stone standing before the Hanuman temple

Ciraca 16th century

Only the name of the month Margasira is preserved in the date portion.

It seems to record a gift of land to the god Hanuman of Alakopara.  The epigraph is damaged.

KONNUR, HUNGUND TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a stone built into a wall of Biradeva temple

1625-26 A.D.

This is dated Saka 1547, Krodhana, dasami, Saturday.  The details cannot be erified.  The Saka year corresponds to 1625-26 A.D.

It records the construction of the Chandrasala by Naganna-gauda, son of Bhusanna-gauda of Konaganur.

INGALAGERI, MUDDEBIHAL TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a broken stone lying before the Hanuman temple

1666 A.D.

This is dated Saka 1589, Prabha, Sravana ba. 2.  The name of the cyclic year appears to have been engraved wrongly for Parabhava.  If so, it corresponds to Saka 1589, current.  The details may thus be equated to 1666 A.D. , August 6, though they cannot be verified.

Except for the invocation to Ganadhipati in the beginning, followed by the date, the rest of the inscription is obliterated.

MULGUND, GADAG TALUK, DHARWAR DISTRICT

On a pillar in the Chandranatha basti

1675 A.D.

This is dated Saka 1597, Rakshasa, Bhadrapada ba. 5, Sunday, corresponding to 1675 A.D., August 29, Sunday, f.d.t. 47

It states that Banadambike, wife of Kulakarni Nagabhupa had the image of Adinatha consecrated, as the temple was polluted by the Mohammadans entering into of forcibly.

On a foot step in the temple of Siddhesvara

1695-96 A.D.

This is dated Saka 1617 corresponding to 1695-96 A.D.

The record which is in Nagari characters and Marathi language mention the construction of the eastern doorway by Khanderava Timmaji.

On a pillar in the compound of Jyotirlinga temple

Ciraca 17th century

This is dated the cyclic year Svabhanu, Bhadrapada ba. 30.  The details cannot be verified.

It seems to record a gift of land by [Madi]deva-nayaka of Barige for maintaining a charitable picotta.  The inscription is damaged.

On a rock in the Yemmikallu field in the village

Ciraca 17th century

This is dated the cyclic year Tarana, Sravana su. 11.  The details cannot be verified.

It records a gift of land to a matha for merit of his teacher Parvatadeva by Maharaja Immadi Barigeya Deva-nayaka.

On a stone set up in Ayyanakolla near the Isvara temple on the Gajendragad hill

Ciraca 17th century

The date of the record is lost.  It records a gift to Chenabasapa by Desayi Surapa-Lingapa.

This undated record registers a gift of land and refers to Kache-nayaka of Naranapura and to a dispute in Hariharapura-sime.

On a slab lying in Survey No. 117

Ciraca 17th century

It speaks of the construction of a tank by several Gaudas and others.  It also refers to a gift of land and house for the work.  Desayi Nemana and Desa-kulakarani Gopana are mentioned.

HIREMURAL, MUDDEBIHAL TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a stone built into the basement of the Sangamesvara temple

Ciraca 17th century

This is dated the cyclic year Durmukhi, Ashadha su. 10.  The details cannot be verified.

It seems to register a gift to the god Sangamanatha.  The inscription is damaged.

BILGI, BILGI TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a stone built into a wall of the well called Arettina-bhavi

1703 A.D.

This is dated Saka 1630, Sarvadhari, Marggasira su. 10, Thursday, Uttarabhadrapada, corresponding to 1708 A.D., November 11, Thursday, f.d.n. 43.

It states that Visaji Mahadeva Panditqa of Gargya-gotra had a well constructed in nothe northern region of Bilgi.  The record is in Marathi language and Nagari characters.

BILGI, BILGI TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On another stone built into a wall of the well called Arttina-bhavi

1708 A.D.

The contents of this epigraph are identical with those of the above inscription except that this is written in Kannada language and characters.  The author of the well is mentioned here as Visajipanta, son of Patalasayi Mahadeva.

On a third stone built into a wall of the well called Arettina-bhavi

17808 A.D.

This record in Nagari characters is composed in Sanskrit verse.  It contents are the same as of the above two epigraphs.

UNACHGERI, RON TALUK, DHARWAR DISTRICT

On a the arch-stone of the entrance to Krishnamurti temple

1788 A.D.

This is dated the cyclic year Plavanga, margasira ba. 14, Monday.  On palaeographical grounds the record may be assigend approximately to the 18th century in which case the details may be equated to 1788 A.D., January 7.

It records the construction of the Venugopala temple by Aiyapa, the Petr Kotawala of the Gagendragad fort.  The inscription is in Nagari characters and Kannada language.

On a slab set up in the Basavanna temple about a mile from the village

It seems to describe the glory of Basavanna (i.e., Bull-god) and some miracle attributed to Him.

It records a gift of land made in the name of the god Sankara of Hiru-uru (i.e., Hirur).
