MULGUND, GADAG TALUK, DHARWAR DISTRICT

On a slab built into the inner wall of the Parsvanatha temple

1275 A.D.

This is dated Saka 1197, Yuva, Vaisakha ba. 13, Thursday, corresponding to 1275 A.D., April 25. 

It records the death, by the vow of Sanyasa, of Amritayya, son of Mahapradhana, Heggade Devanna who was a minister and Bahattara-niyogadhipati of Tilakaras of Saratur.

SIROL, MUDDEBIHAL TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a boulder in a field

1282 A.D.

This is dated the cyclic yearChitrabhanu, Asvija su. 5, Tuesday.  As the record may be placed, son palaeographical grounds, in the 13th century, the details may correspond to 1282 A.D., September 8.

It records a gift of land to a Jaina temple by the Prabhu and other residents of the place.

UMTAR, BADAMI TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a hero-stone in the ruined temple

1285 A.D.

This is dated Saka 1208, Parthiva, Chaitra su. 11, Sunday, corresponding to 1285 A.D., March 18. The Saka year was current.

It records a gift of land in Hosavura by Mahapradhana Ravaladeva-nayaka, the Sarvadhikari of Toragale-nadu and Bagade-nadu, at the instance of Sarvadhikari Dhamoi Rane, when Bachai-[na*]yaka, son of Rajai-nayaka, was serving as a subordinate official.  The gift appears to have been made in memory of a warrior who died in a fight.  These details, however, are not stated clearly in the epigraph.

It seems to state that the field was the property of the Kumudi-gana of the Yapaniya-samgha.

On the face of a pillar in the ruined Basava temple

Ciraca 13th century

It seems to refer to some charitable act by Banavisetti, a pious devotee of Gurulinga-jangama of the Virasaiva faith.  As the inscription is written in faulty language, it is difficult to make out its import.

On a pillar in the kalyana-mandapa of the Viranarayana temple

Ciraca 13th century

It registers a series of gifts of lands, house-sites and money, the purpose of which cannot be made out.  The inscription appears to have been engraved in continuation of another.

On a pillar in the Kalyana-mandapa of the Viranarayana temple

It registers gifts of houses and other objects to the god Traipurusha.

SORATUR, GADDAG TALUK, DHARWAR DISTRICT

On a hero-stone set up in front of the Hanuman temple

Ciraca 13th century

It seems to record the death of Haripeya-nayaka in an expedition against Nidugal after the subjugation of four forts, by the son of Mahamandalesvara Tilakarasa who bore the title Magara-murari and was a devotee of the god Ramanatha.  The epigraph is damaged.

It records the death of Pamigavadi, wife of Naga-gavunda of Hebbagi, who was a disciple of Narendrasena-Bhataraka.

On a slab set up near the Virakta-matha

Ciraca 13th century

It records gifts of land by Deparasa, sonof mudre-hasta Hemmaya Savanta of Kadadi, Urodeya and others for the gosage offerings of the god Somaya of Huligere which was maintained by Sivaramaya.

This record seems to register a gift of land.  It mentions Kalukere. It is damaged and the details are lost.

Ciraca 13th century

It records the gift of the village Javuru to Sakalachandra Bhattaraka by Bichisetti.  It is stated that the village was formerly granted to the Basadi of the goddess Jvalamalini by a certain ……. Malladeva.  It mentions Yacharya Jayakirtti as the priest in charge of the religious establishment.

On a hero-stone set up in the Hanumantadeva temple

Ciraca 13th century

It records a gift of land to Mallaya-nayaka by the gift Hittus and five mathas.  It mentions Sesuvinahalli.  The record is damaged.
