HANDARGAL, MUDDEBIHAL TALU, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a small hero-stone standing in the Sangamesvara temple

Circa 12th century

It mentions Sarvvesvara, the achrya of the matha belonging to the god Svyambhu Tondesvara.

KOLUR, MUDDEBIHAL TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a hero-stone standing under a bilva tree

Circa 12th century

It records a gift for heroism, made by the Mummuridandas and the eight Hittus of Koluru and Mahamandalesvara Vira-Hemmadi to Ravai, son of Nagaiya, probably in appreciation of the heroism shown by him.

KUNTOJI, MUDDEBIHAL TALU, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a multilated stone near the well in the Isvara temple

Circa 12th century

It contains details of series of grants in the course of which reference is made to Uttaravana-samkranti, the deity Mechalesvara and the measure called Danachintamaniya-gale.  The epigraph is fragmentary and its major portion is lost.

TALIKOTI, MUDDEBIHAL TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a boulder-stone called Sime-Virappa

Circa 12th century

It registers a gift of land to the temple of the god Sahasralinga, situated to the west of Ramatirtha.  It mentions Kodeyanuru.

TAMMADHADDI, MUDDEBIHAL TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a slab in the village chavadi

Circa 12th century

It states that the slab was the nishidi memorial set up in honour of Bhogagavunda, son of Bammagavunda, disciple of Devachandra-bhattaraka, the acharya of the Tirthada Basadi at Ingalesvara.

It states that the land was a gift of Poleyanayya.

It seems to record the death of a hero by name Arjjahuli whose description is lost in the damaged portion of the epigraph.

On a slab set up in the Naryanadeva temple

Circa 12th century

This seems to record a gift of land to the god Gopala by Basavarasa and the Prabhus of Salavadige.  The inscription is damaged.

INGALESVAR, BAGEVADI TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a piece of slab built into the north wall of the mandapa in the Somanatha temple

Circa 12th century

The only details of the date available are Pushya ba. 9, Sunday.  It records a gift of land by the two Five Hundred (Mahajanas) of Ingalesvaa to the sthanacharya Kumaradeva.  The earlier portion of the record is lost.

It records the gift of a shop probably by the residents of Uradeageri.

On a fragment built into the wall of the house of Kallimathada Basayya

Circa 12th century

It seems to record a gift of income from cess to a deit.  It mention Madiyanna of Jambuge.  The record is damaged and fragmentary.

INGALESVAR, BAGEVADI TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a slab set up in the Lingayata-matha

Circa 12th century

This is dated the cyclic year Angirasa, Chaitra-padiva, Monday.  Palaeographically the record may be assigned to 13th century when the details correspond to 121 A.D., March 5, Monday, f.d.t. 02.  It records the death by samdhi of Santi-setti son of Aggala-setti and a devout follower of the Jaina fiath.

On a slab set up near Sahib Mohideen’s mosque

1215 A.D.

This is dated the cyclic year Yuva, Sravana su. 11, Sthiravara.  On palaeographical grounds the record may be assigned to the 13th century , in which case the details correspond to 1215 A.D., August 7.  The weekday was Friday.

BADGI, BILGI TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a pillar in the Kesava temple

1223 A.D.

This is dated the cyclic year Svabhanu, Ashadha su. 13, Somavara.  Palaeographically the record may be assigned to the 13th century when the date would correspond to 1223 A.D., June 12, Monday.

 

It records a gift of oil from the oil-mill of the satra for burning a perpetual lamp before a god by Chateya-nayaka.

INGALESVAR, BAGEVADI TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a slab set up near the well at the entrance to the village

1224 A.D.

This is dated the cyclic year Tarana, Sravana-amavasye, Sitavara.  As the epigraph can be assigned to the 13th century, the details may be taken to correspond to 1224 A.D.  August 16, Friday.

It records the death of Jaina devotee named Satyanna by the rite of Sanyasana.

GADAG, GADAG TALUK, DHARWAR DISTRICT

On a pillar in the mandapa of the Trikutesvara temple

1225 A.D.

This is dated Saka 1148, Parthiva, Vaisakha su. 3, Vaddavara, corresponding to 1225 A.D., April 12.  The Saka year was current.

GARAG, DHARWAR TALUK, DHARWAR DISTRICT

On a slab set up on the tank bund

1230 A.D.

This is dated the cyclic year Vikrita, Sravana ba. 14, Brihaspativara.  As the record can be assigned to the 13th century on palaeographic grounds, the details correspond to 1230 A.D. August 8, Thursday, f.d.t. 11.

It records the detah by samadhi of the preceptor Santivira of Kummadi-gana of the Yapaniya-samgha.

ANNIGERI, NAVALGUND TALUK, DHARWAR DISTRICT

On a slab set up near Sahib Mohideen’s mosque

1231 A.D.

On a pillar to the left of the southern entrance (inner side) into the Amritesvara temple

This is dated Saka 1153, Khara, Bhadrapada-Amavasya. Samkranti, Thursday, correspondint to 1231 A.D., August 28, f.d.t. 04, the Samkranti being Kanya. 

It records the gift of income from the Pannaya tax to the god Svayambhu Amritesvara of Rajadhani-pattana Annigere, by Ariya Revisetti who is style Komkanadesa-chakravartti (i.e., supreme lord of the Konkana country).

A gift to the god Bhairava is mentioned in the supplementary portion engraved on the second face of the pillar.

SHIRUR, BAGALKOT TALUK, BIJAPUR DISTRICT

On a wall in the mandapa of the Ramalingavamin temple

1249 A.D.

This is dated Saka 1171, Saymya, Chaitra ba. 8, Monday, corresponding to 1249 A.D., April 7, the weekday being Wednesday.  If  however, ba. Is a mistake for su.  The details correspond to 1249 A.D., March 22, Monday f.d.t. 75.

It records a gift of money by Deki-gavundi and Suggi-gavundi, the wives of Billa-harala-gavunda, for feeding the ascetics in the matha of the god Mulasthana once a year, out of the interest accruing therefrom.

ANNIGERI, NAVALGUND TALUK, DHARWAR DISTRICT

On a slab lying in the Jain Basti

1267 A.D.

This is dated Saka 1189, Prabhava, Chaitra ba. R, Tuesday, corresponding to 1267 A.D., March 15.

It records the death by Samadhi of Keladi-avve, wife of Virayya who was the son of Nompisetti, lay-disciple of Somadevacharya of Mula-samgha and Kondakund-anavaya.

DONI, MUNDARGI TALUK, DHARWAR DISTRICT

On the pedestal of th Parsivanatha image kept in front of the Maruti temple

1269 A.D.

This is dated Saka 1191, Sukla, Chaitra su. 7, Monday, Mrigasirsha, corresponding to 1269 A.D., March 11.

It records the installation of the image of Parsvanatha in the basadi of Marudevi-Avve of Kanur-gana.  The image was a gift by Srikaranada Boppanna, grandson of Senabova Adanna.  The donnor is described as a lay-disciple of the teacher Balachandra.  At this time the whole of Karnata-mandala is said to have been governed by Tipparaja.
