and the eight Hittus of Koluru and Mahamandalesvara Vira-Hemmadi
to Ravai, son of Nagaiya, probably in appreciation of the heroism shown
by him.

The epigraph is fragmentary and its major portion is lost.

the sthanacharya Kumaradeva.

It records the death by samdhi of Santi-setti son of
Aggala-setti and a devout follower of the Jaina fiath.

It records a gift of oil from the oil-mill of the satra
for burning a perpetual lamp before a god by Chateya-nayaka.

On a pillar to the left of the southern entrance
(inner side) into the Amritesvara temple
This is dated Saka 1153, Khara,
Bhadrapada-Amavasya. Samkranti, Thursday, correspondint to 1231 A.D.,
August 28, f.d.t. 04, the Samkranti being Kanya.
It records the gift of income from the Pannaya tax
to the god Svayambhu Amritesvara of Rajadhani-pattana Annigere,
by Ariya Revisetti who is style Komkanadesa-chakravartti (i.e.,
supreme lord of the Konkana country).
A gift to the god Bhairava is mentioned in the
supplementary portion engraved on the second face of the pillar.

This is dated Saka 1171, Saymya, Chaitra ba. 8,
Monday, corresponding to 1249 A.D., April 7, the weekday being
Wednesday. If
however, ba. Is a mistake for su.
The details correspond to 1249 A.D., March 22, Monday f.d.t. 75.
It records a gift of money by Deki-gavundi and
Suggi-gavundi, the wives of Billa-harala-gavunda, for feeding the
ascetics in the matha of the god Mulasthana once a year, out of
the interest accruing therefrom.

This is dated Saka 1189, Prabhava, Chaitra ba. R,
Tuesday, corresponding to 1267 A.D., March 15.
It records the death by Samadhi of
Keladi-avve, wife of Virayya who was the son of Nompisetti, lay-disciple
of Somadevacharya of Mula-samgha and Kondakund-anavaya.

On the pedestal of th Parsivanatha image kept in
front of the Maruti temple
1269 A.D.
This is dated Saka 1191, Sukla, Chaitra su. 7,
Monday, Mrigasirsha, corresponding to 1269 A.D., March 11.
It records the installation of the image of
Parsvanatha in the basadi of Marudevi-Avve of Kanur-gana. The image was a gift by Srikaranada Boppanna,
grandson of Senabova Adanna.
The donnor is described as a lay-disciple of the teacher
Balachandra. At this time
the whole of Karnata-mandala is said to have been governed by Tipparaja.
