inscription dated in Saka 963, Visha (Vrisha), Jyeshtha, ba. I,
Sunday, records a grant of land by Bollabbe, the daughter of Gommarasa,
to a temple constructed by her.
The land was given to her to be used for charitable purposes by
Gommarasa. The gift was
entrusted to Chandrasekhara-Bhattara.
The Seguna family is mentioned.
The
details of the date correspond to A.D. 1041, May 25, Monday (not
Sunday as stated in the record)

This
inscription is dated in Saka 970 Sarvadhari, corresponding to A.D.
1048-49. It records a
gift of income from betel-leaf garden made by Galayya, to Dunda
Chatta of Ommaradi (modern Hommaradi) who fought with and
killed the dande (guard) of the (guild of) Five-hundred-and-four
(Eleya-Bojanagas) when the dande reviled this body.

This
inscription is dated in Saka 977, Manmatha, Chaitra ba. 11, Priday,
Vishu-samkranti. The
date is irregular. By the
Samkranti and week-day the details correspond to A.D. 1055, March 24,
Friday. The tithi
however was 9 which ended at .58. It
states that Sumkavergade Chatimayya,
Manneya
Rajadityarasa and
others made a gift of taxes for burning a perpetual lamp to god
Sadevesvara.
It
also contains another record of a grant of money for the same purpose
made on Pushya su. 5, [Uttaraya]na-samkranti (apparently of the same
year). The week-day is lost. The details correspond to A.D. 1055,
December 25, Monday; f.d.t. .14, The donor of the latter grant was Kaliyammarasa
of the Jimutavahana lineage and Khachara family.

inscription is dated in Saka 987, Visvavasu, Bhadrapada su. Shashti,
Monday. The tithi
corresponds to A.D. 1065, August 10, Wednesday (not Monday).
It
registers a grant of land made by Mahasamanta Rajadityarasa
of the Jimutavahana lineage and Khachara family to the god
Goyindesvaradeva. The
gift was entrusted to Gangarasi-Munipa.
Rajaditya is stated to be holding the manneya of Basavura
One-hundred-and-forty.

This
fragmentary inscription is dated in Saka 991, Saumya, Chaitra
Amavasya, Thursday, Samkramana. The
details are irregular. The tithi
cited corresponds to A.D. 1069, march 25, Wednesday. The samkramana occurred on Tuesday the 24th
March.
It
states that a Mahasamanta (name lost) who was in charge the Manneya
of Rattapalli Seventy and Ittage Thirty, which together constituted the
Nurumbada, made a grant of land for the worship
and offerings to gdo Virupakshadeva of Ittage.
The
record was written by Sandhivigrahi Masanayya and was
engraved by Samkoja.

inscription is dated in Saka [9]95, Pramadicha, Vaisakha purnima,
lunar eclipse, Samkranti corresponding regularly to A.D.
1073, April 24, Wednesday.
It
records a grant of land for worship and offerings to god Samkesvaradeva
by Samka-gavunda who built the temple.
He is stated to have belonged to the Kausika-kula. The gift was entrusted to Chandrabharana-Pandia.

Nagadeva is stated
to have written the inscription.

1080, October 5, Monday f.d.t. .54.
It
describes the valour of Kaleya Nayaka of Devamgeri who fought for
mahamandalesvara Joyimarasa of the Jimutavahana
lineage and Khachara family; when the latter attacked Guttalal.
A grant of land is stated to have been made in commemoration of the
hero.

inscription states that Keta, the son-in-law or nephew of Nagasetti,
constructed a tank to the west of Negeyur.
It is also recorded that he was pierced to death by the
thieves and that his mother Makabbe and his son Hanuma
erected the stone. The

B and C describe the valour of Adityavarma with
his titles Danavinoda and Vain-Narayana.
The remaining one (comprising D and E) records the
setting up of a pillar in a basadi by Masana.

This
fragmentary record is dated in Saka 1082, Vikrama, lunar eclipse,
Monday. In the given year there were two lunar eclipses, one in Bhadrapada
and the other in Phalguna, corresponding respectively to A.D.
1160, August 18 and A.D. 1161, February 12. But neither of them
occurred on Monday. The
first was on Thursday and the second on Sunday.
The latter being nearer to the week-day given in the record,
it may be surmised that the grant was made actually on Sunday, though it
was recorded on Monday.
It
states that the one-thousand Mahajanas of Deyvada-Hosavur (modern
Devihousr) made a grant of land to the god Mulasthana-Bhogesvara
(of that place). The gift
was entrusted to Sovarasiguru of Posavur.
Mahapradhana Hegade Bammarasa is extolled and a
chief of the Jimutavahana lineage is stated to be holding the manneya
of Basavura
One-hundred-and-forty.

inscription is dated in Saka [10]87, Parthiva, Margasira Su. Shashthi,
Friday, corresponding to A.D. 1165 November 11.
The week-day was Thursday.
It
states that on the above-mentioned date, Erabova of Mugudur died
in a cattle raid. He is
stated to be the servant of Bacha-gaumda of Mugudur.

on the top of the second entrance into the central shrine of the
Kallesvara temple

This
inscription is dated in Saka 1104, Subhakrit, margasira su. Purnima,
Thursday lunar eclipse. In
the cyclic year given, there was no eclipse in the month of Margasira.
But in the next year i.e., Sobhakrit (Saka 1105), there
was a lunar eclipse on the given tithi and day.
The details in the latter year correspond to A.D. 1183,
December 1, Thursday. This
apparently is the date intended.
It
records three grants made by three persons to god Mallikarjunadeva
of Alur and god Yogesvaradeva of Brahmapuri. The
first was made at the instance of Dandanayaka Mallugideva
by Sumkavergade Nagarasa and his younger brother Davarasa,
from the nelevidu of Haveri. The second one was made by
Sumkavergade Sovarasa, at the instance of mahamandalaesvara
Joyidevarasa. The
donors of the third were Lalakhandeyakarar-adhishthayaka
Vasudeva-Dandanayaka and his brothers Kesava-Dandanayaka and Narana-Dandanayaka.
Vasudeva-Dandanayaka held many other offices.

records a grant of land for th worship and offering of flowers to god Narasimhadeva.
