TEXT OF INSCRIPTIONS

10 ನಡವ ಅರಮನೆಯ ವರ್ತನೆಯ ಹಣಮಂತಾದುದನು ಸಹವಾಗಿ ಕಾಲಕಾಲಂ
ಪ್ರತಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ನಡವಂತಾ ಅಯನ

11 ಉಚ್ಚಹ ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣ ಅಂಕುರಾರ್ಪಣ ಅವ [ಭೃ]ತಸ್ನಾನ ದೀ[ಪಾ]ರಾಧನೆ
ವಸಂತ ಉಚ್ಚಹ ಮುಂತಾದಂತಾ

12 ವಿನಿಯೋಗದ ವೆಚ್ಚಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಹಹಾಂಗೆ ತಥಾತಿಥಿಯ ದಿನದ ಸೋಮೇಪ್ಪರಾಗ
ಪುಂಣ್ಯಕಾಲದಲಿ ದೇವರ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದ-

13 ಕೆ ಸಹಿರಣ್ಯೋದಕ ದಾನ ಧಾರಾಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಧಾರೆಯ ನೆರೆದು ಕೊಟ್ಟೆಉ
ಯಿಸಂಮಂದದ ಹಣ ಹೊಂನು

14 ಯೇನುಂ[ಟಾ]ದದನು [ಹಾ] ರು ನಾಡನಾಡು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹಸರಣೆಯ ಮೇಲಣ ಬೇಡಿಗೆ
ಬಿರಾ[ಡ] ಯೇನುಂ[ಟ್ಟಾ]ದದನು ಕಾಲಂ

15 ಪ್ರತಿಯಲ್ಲು ಆಗುಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳಚ್ಚಯಿಸಿ ಕಾಲಂಪ್ರತಿಯ ಅಯನದ ಉಚ್ಚಹವನು
ಆಗುಮಾಡಿಕೊಳಚ್ಚಯಿಸೋ-

16 ದುಯೆಂದು ಕೊಟ ಸಹಿರಂಣ್ಯೋದಕ ದಾನ ಧಾರಾಪೂರ್ವಕದ ಸಾದನ [||*] ದಾನ
ಪಾಲಮಯೋರ್ಮದ್ಯೇ ದಾನಾಶ್ರೇಯೋನು ಪಾಲನಂ

17 ದಾನಂ ಸ್ವರ್ಗಮವಾಪ್ಯೋತಿ ಪಾಲನಾದಚ್ಯತಂ ಪದಂ | ಸ್ವದತ್ತಂ ದ್ವಿಗುಣಂ
ಪುಂಣ್ಯಂ | ಪರದತ್ತಾನು ಪಾಲನಂ ಪರದತ್ತಾಪಹಾರೇ-

18 ಣ ಸ್ವದಾತ್ತಾಂ ನಿಶ್ಛಲಂ ಭವೇತು | ಯಿಂ [ತು]ದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಅದಿತ್ಯಚಂದ್ರಾವನಿಲಾನಲ
ಉಚ ದ್ಯೌರ್ಭೂಮಿರಾಪೋ[ಹ್ರು]-

19 ದಯಂ ಯಮಶ್ಚ ಅಹಶ್ಚ ರಾತ್ರಿಶ್ಚ ಉಭೇಚ ಸಂದ್ಯೇ ದಂರ್ಮ್ಮಸ್ಯ ಜಾನಾತಿ
ನರಸ್ಯರಿತ್ತಂ [||*] ಬಂಕ್ಕರಸರು ಬರಹ [||*]

HATTIYAṄGAḌI, COONDAPOOR TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up in prākāra of the Lokanāthēśvara temple

1577 A.D.

This record is dated Śaka 1499, Īśvara, bēsage (summer season) 27, Friday. The actual month is not given. The months Jyēshṭha- Ashāḍha being the summer months, when the given details prabably correspond to 1577 A.D., May 24 which seems to be the intended date.

The record ratifies the gift of income from taxes made to god Lōkanātha of Haṭṭiyaṅgaḍi by Baṁkiyarasa alias Honne kaṁbaḷi-voḍeya, by the naḍu, dēśa and all other residents of Hārū-nāḍu.
