HATYAṄGAḌI, COONDAPOOR TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab (No. 2) set up in the prākāra of Lōkanāthēśvara temple

1569 A.D.

This is dated Śaka 1492, Śukla, Jyēshṭha ba. 6, Monday. The details are irregular, the tithi corresponding to 1569 A.D., June 4.

It records a gift of land in Hoḷamage of Halasunāḍa-sīṁe by Baṁkiyarasa alias Ammidēvi-amma to Śaṅkaranārāyaṇa-bhaṭṭa, son of Baḷēya Muruḍēśvara-bhaṭṭa of Basarūru, who in turn, gifted the same to the Uppaukallu-maṭha of the temple of Lōkanāthadēva of Haṭṭiyaṅgaḍi
