TEXT OF INSCRIPTIONS

(A. R. No. 522 of 1928-29)

NELLIKARA, KERAL TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up in the east verandah of the prākāra of the
Anantanātha-basti

1524 A.D.

This record is dated Śaka 1447, Tārana, Dhanus 15, Sunday. The details given are irregular, to 1524 A.D, December 13 when the weekday was Tuesday.

It register a gift of paddy from the land presented by her younger brother Dēvaṁṇarasa alias Komtu, to the basti at Kāyaravura, by Śaṁkara-dēvi. Dēvara-senabōva wrote the record.

TEXT

1 ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿ ಶಾಲಿವಾಹನ ಶಖವರು –

2 ಷ 1447ನೆಯ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ತಾರಣ

3 ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ಧನುರ್ಮಾಸ 15ನೆ ಆದಿ –

4 ವಾರದಂದೂ ದೇವಂಣರಸರಾದ ಕೊಂ –

5 ತು ತಂಮ ಅಕ್ಕ ಶಂಖರದೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ

6 ಧರ್ಮ್ಮ ವೆಚ್ಚಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟ ತಾಉ ಪಾತ್ರ[ದು]-

7 ವಿನ ಹದಡೆಯಬಾಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹ [ಬಟ್ಟಿ] –

8 ಯ ಭ್ತ ಬ 30 ಲೆ ಮು 60 ನೂ ಕ ಶಂಖ –

9 ರದೇವಿಯರು ಕಾಯರವುರದ ಬ[ಸ್ತಿ]ಯ

10 ದೇವಪೂಜೆಗೂ ಆಹಾರದಾನಕ್ಕೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು

11 [ಕೊಟ್ಟ] ಭ್ತ ಯಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಧಂರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ

12 ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತವ ನಾನಂದ ಕೊಟ್ಯಣ ಸೆಟ್ಟಿ

13 [ಕೊ]೦ತು ಆಳುವ ಕೊಂತಣ ಯಿಂತಿವರ

14 ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ದೇವಂಣರ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ [ಒ]ಪ್ಪ ಯಿ ಶಾಸನ [ಹ] –

15 ರಿದವರಿಗೆ ಉಳುಘಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಿಳಿವ ಕವಿಲೆ

16 ಯ ಕೊಂದ ಪಾಪ ಗಂಗಾತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಾಂ [ಹ್ಮ*]ಣ –

17 ನ ವಧೆ ಮಾಡಿದದೋಷ ಬಸ್ತಿದೇವಾಲ್ಯಅಳಿಸಿದ –

18 ವಂ ವಿ. ವ . ವಣೆಗೆ ಸಾರ್ಯ್ಯ ಚಂದ್ರರ

19 ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ದೇವರ ಸೋನಬೋವನ ಬರ . . .
