KAKKUÃJE, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Broken slab built into east wall of the central shrine of
Mahāliṅgēśvara temple

Circa 15th century

This multilated record registers a gift of land to a maṭha and for conducting Rudra-pūje in the temple of Māhādēva, Saṅkaradēva. The gift was entrusted to Kariya Lakhaṇṇa.

11 ರು ಇದಱ ಪಾರೂಪತ್ಯ ಕರಿಯ ಲಖಂಣಗಳು ಇ ಧರ್ಮಕೆ ಆಳುಪಿದಕೆ ಗೋವ
ಕೊಂದ ಪಾಪಕೆ ಹೋಹರು
