TARĀNAGARI, SANDUR TALUK, BELLARY DISTRICT

Stone lying in the field called Muddappana-bīḷu

Achyutarāya, 1536 A.D.

       This fragmentary record refers to the reign of Achyutarāya, all other details being lost. It is dated the cyclic year Durmukhi, Śrāvaṇa śu. 6, the details being insufficient for verification. The tithi corresponds to 1536 A.D., October 20, the cyclic year falling in the reign-period of Achyutarāya.

......ŚRĪRAṄGAM, TIRUCHCHIRAPPALLI TALUK, TIRUCHCHIRAPPALLI DISTRICT

East wall of the second prākāra in the Raṅganātha temple

Achyutarāya, 1539 A.D.

       This record registers a royal gift of a kirīṭa and karṇa-patra to god Raṅganātha of Śrīraṅgam, through Veṅgaḷayya, the rāyasaṁ of Rāmābhatlayya.

       It is dated Śaka 1461, Viḷaṁbi, pushya ba. 30, Sunday ardhōdaya, corresponding to 1539 A.D. January 19, Sunday, f.d.t. .17. The Śaka year was current.
