This
record is dated saka 1497, Dhatu, Magha, ba. 30, Monday. the details
are irregular. Saka 1497 corresponding to the cyclic year Yuva, when the
details regularly correspond to A.D. 1576, January 30, Monday. in
the cyclic year Dhatu corresponding to saka1498,
The
tithi corresponds to A.D.1577, February 17, when the weekday was
Sunday. The former might be the intended date.
The
inscription record a gift made by Maharaja Barigideva-nayaka of the
village Gaudegere, situated in Lakshmanesvara-sime of
Huligere-nadu which territory had been received by him as Amara-mokhasi-nayakatana
from Alli Edlikhana-patasahi the gift was made over to Nagamna-odeya
for the benefit of the temple of Mallikarjuna.
