HANDĀḌI, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab built into a sluice in a field called Kambaḷagadde.

1502 A.D.

This record registers a gift of land for feeding brahmaṇas in the Śaṅkaranārāyaṇadēva temple (of Koḍage ?), by Sōmaṇaya, younger brother of Basavarasa-oḍeya and son of Mallarasa-oḍeya of Hārabhaṇḍi, for the merit of Narasaṇa-oḍeya. It states that the gift land was originally granted to acertain Chandaṇṇa by Dēvarāya-mahārāja
