BAḌAGABEṬṬU, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab built into the floor of the cow-shed in a private house called
âchitpāḍi-bīḍuâ,

1493 A.D. (?)

This badly damaged worn out record is dated Śaka 1416, Pramādicha, Mēsha 1, Sunady. The details are irregular, the tithi Corresponding to 1493 A.D., March 27, the weekday being Wednesday. The Śaka year was 1415.

It registers a gift of land by a person (name lost) who was the grand daughter’s son of Devaru-seṭṭi, for feeding a brahmaṇa probably in the maṭha attached to the temple of Lakshmīnārāyaṇa at Chiṭṭapāḍi. The details are lost. Cf. No. 582/29-30 above.
