38       . ಉಟಾಯಿ ಬಸವನಗದೆಯನು ಕೊಗಲಿ-

39       ನಾರುವ ಕಯಲಿ ಮೂಲವಕೊಂಡ ಸಧನ .

40       ಗೇಣಿ ಅಕ್ಕಿಮು ೯ ಕ್ಕೆ ಮಟದ ಗಾವಲಿಗೆ

41       ಮುಡಿ 6 ದೇವಪುಜ[ಕೆ] ಮ 3 ಮುವರ

BAINDŪRU, COONDAPOOR TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up by the side of the tank called ‘Hosakere’
near the Śayanēśvara temple

Sadāśivarāya, 1559 A.D.

       This record registers a gift of some plots of land, after purchase from several individuals, to a maṭha and for the worship of and offerings to the goddess Paramēśvari by Kēśavaṇa-seṭṭi, son of Saṅkara- seṭṭi and grandson of Muddaṇa-seṭṭi, when mahāmaṇḍalēśvara Channa- Bairādēvi-amma, daughter of Bairādēvi-amma, was governing Bayidūru and other areas from her capital at Saṅgītapura.

       It is dated Śaka 1482, Siddhārthi, Vaiśākha śu. 15, the details being insufficient for verification. The tithi corresponds to 1559 A.D., April 21.
