States that the village Aśugai alias Bhuvanēkavīra-chatur- vēdimaṅgalam alias Kaṁparāya-chaturvēdimaṅgalam which was given as śrāddha-vṛitti by the king’s elder brother Jamaṇṇa Uḍaiyar in the name of Kaṁpaṇa-Uḍaiyar, for reciting the Vēda during the Rājavibhātan-sandi (in the temple), was included
in the registers as agarapparru paying the tax, rakshābhōgam and that the king released it now from this category and assigned it among five persons, one of whom had to con- tinue the recitation of the Vēda daily during the aforesaid Rājavibhāṭan-śāndi [s.a. A. R. No. 572 of 1902].
