...................Slab set up in the prākāra of the Amṛitēśvara temple

.......................................Harihara II, 1398 A.D.

This record is dated Śaka 1312, Śukla, Mēsha 1, Monday. The given tithi corresponds to 1389 A.D., March 26 when the week-day was Friday, the Śaka year being current. If, however, the tithi is a mistake for ī1, then details regularly correspond with April 5 of that year.

It records a gift of land, after purchase from Baṅki Sāntaya and Kēśava-vappiri. to the temple of Āmṛitanātha of Vomaṅjūru, for feeding twelve Brāhmaṇas including the cooks at the chhatra by Padumaladēvi daughter of Kāmadēvarasa of the Kadamba family, when Mallarasa was governing Maṅgaḷūru-rājya. It also states that the king made the land free from all taxes and endowed the village Moḷa for the maintenance of the same feeding house. It registers a further grant of a betel-nut garden by Padumaladēvi which was made over to Gōvinda and Nāraṇa of the Chaṭṭattila family who were to protect the gift hereditarily.
