BŌḌINĀYANIPALLE, PUNGANUR TALUK, CHITTOOR DISTRICT
Hero-stone (No. 9) set up in a field to the west of the village
964-65 A. D.
The record is dated Śaka 886 corresponding to 964-65 A. D. It
registers a gift of land by the king and the ūru in memory of a hero
(name lost) who died during a cattle-raid at Maṅgala. It states that
Vajjaladēva was ruling over puli-nāḍu.
