KŌṬE, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up in the prākāra of the Mahāliṅgeēśvara temple.

[Kulaśēkarāḷva]

This incomplete record refers to the deity of Kōṭa and seems to register some gift by the king.

1 ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀಂ ಶ್ರೀಂ ಕುಲಶೇಕರ . ರದಕೃತಿಯಾ-

2 ಳುಪೇಂದ್ರ ದೇವರು ಗೆಯ್ದ ಪಯ

3 ಹಟ್ಟದ . ಕುಟಿಗೊಡಯಂ ಕೋಟದ ದೇವರ್ಗ್ಗೆ .

HANDĀḌI, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab (No. 2) built into the sluice in a field called ‘Kambaḷagadde’

Kulaśēkara, 1355 A.D.

This badly damaged record is dated Śaka 1[27]7, Manmatha, Dhanus 27, Thursday corresponding to 1355 A.D., December 24.

It registers a gift of land probably by the king when he was holding assembly in his palace at Bārakūru. It refers to the village Kuṁbaragōru. All other details are lost.
