1        ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಮಾದಿಸಂ

2        ವತ್ಸರದ ಜೇಷ್ಟ ಬ 11 ಬು

3        ಮಿತುನಮಾಸ 11

4        ಬು ವಾರದಂದು || ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀ ಮ

5        ತ್ಪಟ್ಟದ ಪಿರಿಯರಸಿ ಬಲ್ಲಮಹಾದೇ

6        ವಿಯರು ಬಾರಹಕಂನ್ಯಾಪುರದ

7        ಹಿರಿಯರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಸಿಂಹಾಸ-

8        ನಾರೂಢರಾಗಿ ಬಹಳ ಗೊಂದಳಾಸ್ತಾ-

9        [ನ]ದಲು ಒಡ್ಡೋಲಗಂ ಗೊಟ್ಟಿರಲು ದೇವ-

10      ರ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದ ಸಂನಿಧಾನದಲು ಸ-

11      ಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಧಾನರುಂ ದೇಸಪುರುಸರುಂ

12      ಬಾಹತ್ತರನಿಯೋಗಿಗಳುಂ [ಪ್ರೋಹಿ]-

13      ತರುಂ ನೆರದಿರ್ದ್ದ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವದಲು ಬೆ[ಳ್ಳ]-

14      ರ್ಪ್ಪಳ್ಳಿಯ ವೂರವಾರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸಿಲಾ[ಶಾಸ]-

15      ನ ದಕ್ರಮವೆಂತೆಂದಡೆ ಆ ವೂರ . .

16      [ಮು]ದಾಯ ಗದ್ಯಾಣ

KEÑJŪRU, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab standing near the Mēla-maṭha at the hamlet Ammañji

Ballamahādēvī, 1281 A.D.

       This record states that when Baṅkidēva of Dattāḷvasa-baḷi mahāpradhāna Sōhaṇṇa-sēnabōva, Narasiṅga-heggaḍe, Bammu-sēnabōva, kumāra Bijjiaṇṇa-arasa, mahāpradhāna Poruna-senabōva, the dēśi-purushas and the Hundred of Śivapura had assembled in the hiriya-aramane of Bārahakanyāpura, in the presence of the Queen, it was resolved that Kēśava-seṭṭi of the Baṅga family should make a gift of 32 muḍe of paddy out of the dēvasva of Amaje at Karuvakkaunda, endowed by Kittihaṭṭuḍeya, to god Mūḍadēva of Śivapura. The queen described as paṭṭada-hiriyarasi is stated to have belonged to the family of Mānābharaṇēśvaradēva.

       It is dated Śaka 1200, Vishu, Tulā 7, Sunday, the tithi corresponding to 1281 A.D., October 4, when the weekday was Saturday. This Śaka year was 1203.
