HĒRĀḌI, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab (No. 3) set up in the temple of Janārdanadēva

Mallikārjuna, 1453 A.D.

This record registers a gift of land garden, probably made after purchase, to Janārdanadēva of Hērāḍi, for offerings of boiled rice mixed with curd, by Lakshumā-seṭṭiti, daughter of a seṭṭi whose name is lost. Ācharasa-oḍeya is stated to have been governing Bārakūru- rājya under the orders of the king.

It is dated Śaka 1376, Śrīmukha, Āśvija śu. [1], corresponding to 1453 A.D., September 4, the Śaka year being current. The details are not, however, verifiable.
