HILIYĀṆA, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up in the Narasiṁhadēva temple

Immaḍi Dēvarāya [Mallikārjuna], 1452 A.D.

This badly damaged and broken record registers a gift of money for worship and offerings in the temple of Lakshmī-Narasiṁha of the maṭha of the Gaṅgādharapuri-Śrīpāda of Tirthadahaḷḷi, probably by the governor (name lost) of Bārakūru who was governing the area under the command of Immaḍi Mallikārjunadēvarāya. The money income was probably to be collected from the village Hiliyaṇa situated in Kala-nāḍu.

It is dated Śaka 137(4), Āṅgirasa, Chitra śu. 1, Wednesday corresponding to 1452 A.D., March 22.

1 ಸ್ವಸ್ತಿಶ್ರೀ ಗಣಾಧಿಪತಯೇ ನಮಃ [|*] ನಿರ್ವ್ವಿಘ್ನಮಸ್ತು [|*] ನಮಸ್ತುಂಗ ಶಿರಸ್ತುಂ-

2 ಬಿ ಚಂದ್ರಚಾಮರ ಚಾರವೇ [|*] ತ್ರಯಿಲೋಕ್ಯನಗರಾರಂಭ ಮೂಲ-
