TEXT OF INSCRIPTIONS

4 ರಮೇಸ್ವರ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ ತಪುವರಾಯರಗಂಡ ಹರಿಹರರಾಯರ ಮ –

5 ಹಾಪ್ರಧಾನ ಮುರುರಾಯರಗಂಡ ಭಾಸೆಗೆ ತಪುವರಾಯರಗಂಡ [ಬಾದ] –

6 ರಾಯವೊಡೆಯರ ಕುಮಾರ ಬೊಂಮಣ ವೊಡೆಯರ ಬಾಗಿಲಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಎಲಕೋ –

7 ಲ ಸಿಂಹ . . ಕುಲವರ್ದನರಾಗಿ[ದ] ಮುಪೆಯನಾಯಕನ ಕುಮಾರ ಲಖ –

8 ಯನಾಯಕನು ಮುಳುವಾಯರಾಜ್ಯದ ಬಡ ಹುಲಿನಾಡ ಹಿರಿಯ[ವೆ]ಳ –

9 ಗಟೂರಲು ಶ್ರೀವರದರಾಜದೇವರ ಶ್ರೀಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಟೆಯನು ಮಾಡಿ ಅಂಗಭೋ –

10 ಗ ನಯಿವೇದ್ಯ ದೀಪವ ನಡಸುವುದಕೆ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮುಡುವಾಯ ನಲ[ಪ]ನ ಕುಂ –

11 ಟಿಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಉಳಂತಾ ಗದೆಉ ಹತುಕೊಳಗೆ ಹಿರಿ . ನ[ನು]ಯುರಮು –

12 ೦ದಣ ಠಾ[ಣೆ]ಯು ಯಿಷ್ಟನು ಯಿಯೂರ ಅನೇಸ ಗಉಂಡುಗ –

13 ಳು ವೊಳಗಾದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರ[ಜ]ಗಳು ಲಖಯನಾಯಕರು ಸಮುದಯ –

14 ವಾಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಸರ್ವ್ವಮಾಂನ್ಯವನು ಚಂದ್ರ ಆದಿತ್ಯರುಳಂತಂಬರಂ

15 ನಡಸಿಬಹರು ನಡಸಿದಂತಾವರು ಗಂಗೆಯ ತಡಿಯಲು ಸಹ –

16 ಸ್ರ ಕವಿಲೆಯ ದಾನವಮಾಡಿದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಳುವರು ನಡಸ –

17 ದೆಯಿದವನು ಶ್ರೀಗಂಗೆ ಗೋದಾವರಿಯ ತಡಿಯಲು ಸಹಸ್ರಕವಿಲೆ –

18 ಯ ಕೊಂದ ಪಾಪದಲು ಹೋದರು ಅವಗೆ ನಾಯಕ ನರಕ ತಪ್ಪ –

PERDŪRU, UDIPI TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT

Slab set up near a field called Garaḍi Kumbalagadde at Vāṇṭyāla

Bukka II, 1406 A.D.

This is dated Śaka 1328 (1329) current), Vyaya, Bhādrapada śu. 10, va (i.e. Vaḍḍavāra) corresponding to 1406 A.D., August 24, Tuesday.

It registers a gift of 170 kōṭi-gadyāṇa of Bārakūru derived from the village Beḷaṅji in the veṇṭeya of Kanyāna of Bārakūra-nāḍu made by the king to Śrī Narasiṁha-bhārati of Siṅgēri (Śriṅgēri) for the renovation and proper maintenance of a library (of the maṭha threat); and out of this, a sum of 20 kāṭi-gadyāṇa was gifted by the Oḍeya of Śriṅgēri (in the form of lands worth the amount, situated at Śivapura) to the Purāṇika Kavi Kṛishṇa-bhaṭṭa of Śriṅgēri. The gift was made with the consent of the jananis of Śivapura as also Bāchappa of Gōve who was governing Bārakūru-rājya.
