WESTERN CHALUKYA (KALYANI)—cont.
Vikramāditya Tribhuvanamalladēva —cont.

64

Chāḷukya-Vikrama-kāla 41st year (in words), Hēmaḷambi, Phālguṇa, śu. pañchami’ Sunday, Vyatīpāta. = A.D. 1118, January 27, Sunday ; f.d.t. ∙91.

11

Chāḷukya-Vikrama year 43, Vi[ḷambi], Pushya, śu. 1[1], Sunday, Uttarāyaṇa-saṅkramaṇa, Vyatīpāta. In Viḷambi (= Śaka 1040), the given tithi fell on A.D. 1118, December 25, Wednesday (not Sunday) which was a day of Uttarāyaṇa-saṅkranti ; ∙57.

15

Chāḷukya-Vikrama year 45, Plava, Phālguṇa, amāvāsye, Sunday, Saṅkramaṇa, solar eclipse.
Probably A.D. 1122, March 10, Friday, on which day there was a solar eclipse. The week day quoted in the record is evidently a mistake. It was not also a day of Saṅkramaṇa.

67

Chāḷukya-Vikrama-kāla 47, Śōbhakṛit, Paushya, śu. 5, Monday, Uttarāyaṇa-saṅkrānti, Vyatīpāta, solar eclipse. =A.D. 1123, December 24, Monday ; ∙99. It was a day of Uttarāyaṇ-saṅkrānti. But there was no solar eclipse on the preceding amāvāsye day.

27

Chāḷukya-Vikrama year 48, Śōbhakṛit,Āshāḍha, amāvāsye, Monday, Dakshiṇāyana-saṅkramaṇa, Vyatipāta. =A.D. 1123, June 25, Monday ; ∙14. The month was Adhika-Āshāḍha.

Bhūlōkamalladēva.

3

Chāḷukya-Bhūlōkamalla (wrong for Vikrama) year 53, Kīlaka, Śrāvaṇa, śu. 5, Sunday. lunar eclipse. Irregular.

48

Vīra-Bhū!ōka[malla*] year 7, Paridhāvin, Jyēshṭha, puṇṇami, Wednesday. Probably A.D. 1132, May 31, Tuesday (not Wednesday) ; ∙72.

1

arvajña-Bhūlōmalla year 13 (in words), Kāḷayukta, Mārgaśira, puṇṇami, Monday, lunar eclipse Vyatīpāta, Saṅkramaṇa.
Irregular. In Kālayukta (= Śaka 1060), the given tithi fell on Friday, 18th November, A.D. 1138. There was no lunar eclipse nor saṅkramaṇa on this day. In the previous year Piṅgaḷa, which will not be the 13th regnal year of the king, the tithi fell on a Monday but the other details do not agree.

Jagadēkamalla II.

110

Siddhārthin; Kā[rttika], puṇṇami, Monday, Vya[tīpā]ta, Uttarāyaṇa-saṅkramaṇa. In Siddhārthin (= Śaka 1061), Kārttika, puṇṇame was current on Tuesday (not Monday), 7th November, A.D. 1139. It was not a day of any saṅkrānti ; the oitation of Uttarāyaṇa-saṅkramaṇa in Kārttika is clearly a mistake.

85 & 87

9th year, Akshaya, Āshāḍha, ba. 11, Sunday
= A.D. 1146, July 5, Friday (not Sunday) ; f.d.t. ∙41.

5

10th year, Prabhava, Āshāḍha, śu. 12, Thursday, Dakhiṇāyana-saṅkramaṇa, Vyatīpāta. = A.D. 1147, June 26, Thursday; (ba. ∙12) ∙63, Śu. 12 is evidently a mistake for ba. ∙12. Dakshiṇāyana-saṅkramaṇa occurred on the day.

Trailōkyamalladēva (Taila III).

46

2nd year, Śrimukha, Āshāḍha, śu. puṇṇame, Monday, lunar eclipse, Vyatīpāta. = Monday, 6th July, A.D. 1153, July 6, Monday ; f.d.t. ∙56. The eclipse occurred next day.
