Eastern Gaṅga Indravarman Year 97

Sanskrit, Southern Characters.

Registers the gift of Hoñjēri-grāma in Krōshṭukavartanī, by the king to Mātṛichandraśarman, a Chhadōgabrahmachārin of Vatsa-gōtra, on the day of Mahākārttika-Paurṇamāsī. The record is stated to have been written by Ᾱdityamañchi, son of Vinayachandra, under the orders of Rājasimha. Mentions the ājñā (i.e. ājñapti) Ravichandra-mahattara.

Registers the royal order regarding a grant of land in Māṭṭura grāma in Saṁvā-vishaya to Nārāyaṇa, who seems to have been born of a vēśyā by name Vuddhamā. Some details of the dates of coronation of the king and his father Va jrahasta are given (see introduction).

Registers the grant of  the magamai on merchandise by ĀyiravanNagarattār headed by Pachchaiyappa Cheṭṭiyār of Maṇalūrpēṭṭai for the mid-day service of god Aruṇāchalēśvara at Tiruvaṇṇāmalai and for charity at the maṭha.

Records that the local authorities entrusted the conduct of the fourth day of the festivals in the three months of Kārttigai, Mārgali and Ᾱni and certain other duties to ArunāchalaJñāniyār, son of Aḍaikkalañcheṭṭi Jñāniyār, a Vellālañcheṭṭi from Toṇḍaimān-śīmai.

Kannaḍa

Records and order to the officials of the Beṅgaḷura Taluk, and registers the grant of a Sannad ordering payment of 701 varāha to Śōṇādri-dīkshita on a representation made by him and Jyōsi Śrīnivāsāchārya for revival of worship of Aruṇā chalēśvara at Tiruṇāmale (Tiruvaṇṇāmalai), which had gone defunct. Gives a list of expenses for various services in the temple.

Vijayanagara Vijaya-bhūpati Śaka 1354 (yugabhūta-akshi-chaṁ dra), Prajōtpatti, Kārttika śu.12. Sanskrit and Kannaḍa, Nāgarī.

Registers a great of an agrahāra named Vijayabhūpatirāyapura after the king and consisting of the three village Turiñjikuppam, Malayāmvaḍu and Ᾱttambāḍi situated in the Mulakāḍanāḍu’ in Paḍavīḍu-mahārājya in the southern piḍaghu of Rājagambhīradurga. One half of the village is allotted to Durgādhāmēśvara and Durgāparamēśvarī and the other half to several Bhaṭṭas including Dēva-bhaṭṭa, son of Avadhāni Appala-bhaṭṭa of Ᾱnegondi, the composer [Su]guṇārādhya and the engraver Nēgidēva.

Registers a gift of the villages Pāmbāṭi, Pallavarēndal and Ottaiyālaṅguḷam, all situated in Pūṅgā-vaḷanāḍu, south of Vaigai in Madhura-maṇḍalam, to Raṅgayya, son of Nārs siṁhayya of Śāṇḍilya-gōtra, Drāhyāyaṇa-sūtra and Sāma śākhā, by Maṅgamma, the Paṭṭamahishi of Chokkanāthanāyaka, for running a feeding house at Kambukuḍi on the way to Sētū. Madhuramaṇḍala is stated to be held as rāyavumbaḷi by the queen.
