Amritaghatesvara Temple-On The Same Wall

Tribh. Virarajendra-Chola-2nd Year, (A.D. 1064-5)

This records the provision made by two ladies for burning a ‘half’ and a ‘Quarter’ Perpetual lamp in the temple by bringing into cultivation two pieces of land in devadana village Erukkattuchcheri for that purpose. Tirukkadavur is stated to be in Akkur-nadu a division of Jayangondasola-valanadu.

Brahmapurisvara Temple-On The South Wall

Of The Same Mandapa

Tribh. Virarajendradeva-6th Year (A.D. 1068-9)

This records a gift of 6 ma of land after reclamation (from sandy mound) at a place called Tirumayanavilagam as provision for the daily supply of ghee for a perpetual lamp in the temple, by Ambalakkutam, a resident of Karuppur in Marugal-Nadu, a division of Geyamanikka-valanadu. In continuation of the above is an inscription of the 8th year of Kulottunga-Chola recording the joint gift of a lamp to the temple by two ladies.

Jambunatha Temple-On The Same Wall

Raj. Virarajendra-3rd Year (A.D. 1065-66)                                                 

This begins with a short introduction commencing with the words virame tunaiyagavum.  It records a gift of 10 kasu for burning a lamp during the three services in the temple of Tantonriudaiya-Mahadeva by Tirumukkan alias Nambiyaruran of Kommaipakkam a merchant of Virarajendrapuram in Vira-Rajendra-valanadu. The amount is said to have been deposited with the Tiru-Vunaligai-sabha of the temple.  The writing is engraved in a careless manner.

Jambunatha Temple-On The Wall Of The Akhilandesvari Shrine

Raj. Virarajendra-6th Year (A.D. 1068-69)

This begins with introduction Virame tunaiyagavum etc. It records a grant tax free, of 500 kuli of land in the devadana village Tagadi and another 40 kuli (as house site and garden?) besides some dry land in addition as kappada visam (?) By the sthanattar of the temple of Tirukkarrali-Mahadeva at Virarajendrapuram on the northern bank of the Pennai in Rajendra-valanadu, to one Arangan Sendan of Akkanavallam, who is called the nagarakkanakkan of the place, for looking after all the accounts of the temple. Among the temple authorities mention is made of a certain Mahavratin Lakulisvara-Pandita the head of a matha attached to the temple.
