(A. R. No. 94 of 1906)

South Arcot District, Tirukkoyilur Taluk, Jambai

Jambunatha Temple-On The Same Wall

Vira-Narasingaraya Son Of Saluva-Narasingaraya-Saka 1429.

The details of the date given viz., prabhava, Tula, su. 12, Monday, Uttirattadi yield the equivalent A.D. 1507, October 18.

This registers a gift of 600 kuli of land in the devadana village [Aru] kan-mangalam belonging to the Svayambhunathar temple, after purchasing the same from the sthanattar of the temple itself, by Ramayasola-Maharajan, son of Maha-mandalesvara Pottayasola-Maharaja, the chief of Uraiyur, to provide for offerings and worship during two services in the temple. The chief claims to belong to the solar race and the Kasyapa-gotra and is mentioned with some birudas such as Annimbara-gandan, Muvar-gandan and Tribhuvanavira-Vennasamatti.
