Vikrama Chola-Date Lost.
The
inscription is mutilated at the end of the lines. It
seems to register some gift (the nature of which is not
clear) to the temple of Tantonri-Aludaiyar at Senbai by
Solan Periyan a shepherd (manradi) of the place in
expiation of his wifeâs death at his hands (though
unintentionally in a quarrel?). Mention is made of
âDisai vilangu Disai-Ayirattainnurruvarâ on whose
accusation evidently he made this gift.

The
inscription begins with introduction Pumadu purnara etc.
It states that while the king was seated on his throne
Sedirajan in the hall called Rajendra-solan in the inner
courtyard of his palace at Mudigondasolapuram, (the
chief of officer) Vanakovaraiyar represented to him that
the madai equivalent of paddy from the tax-free devadana
at Parundal was not specified in the earlier document
(recorded in No. 167 above), It was therefore now
ordered by the king that the defect be rectified, as a
result of which the madai was settled to be paid at 169
and odd to the temple (every year) with the extent and
boundaries of the land clearly defined.
