Gramardhanatha Temple-On The Same Wall

Rajarajadeva-14th Year.

This records a gift of 16 kasu of burning a light during the evening service in the temple of Urbagankondaruliya-Nayanar, by Mangalankilan Aimbolil-Raman of Mandaiyur in Tirumunaippadi-nadu. This was deposited with a Sivabrahmana of the temple.

Gramardhanatha Temple-On The Same Wall

Tribh. Rajarajadeva-10th Year.

This records a gift of 32 cows to the temple of Urbagankondarulina-Mahadeva at Iraiyanaraiyur alias Solakerala-chaturvedimangalam, by Mudigondan Kari alias Virapalan a resident of Vanapiratti village in Vadanaraiyur kurram for the merit of a certain Tillai alias Arayirappoyan whom he had hit with an arrow by accident and who died as a consequence.

Gramardhanatha Temple-On The Same Wall

Rajarajadeva – 19th Year.

This records a gift of 15 kasu deposited with a Sivabrahmana of the Temple of Urbagankondaruliya-Nayanar, for burning a lamp in the mandapa on the “tirumalai” during the evening service of the god, by Muvayirattoruvan Solaippiran a merchant of Komar. The monthly interest on the amount is said to be 3/8 kasu i.e. at the rate of 2 ½ percent.

This also records a gift similar to that of No. 144 above, made by Merchant of the place by name Avayampukkan Nayakkan.

Manikanthesvara Temple – On The Same Wall.

Tribh. Rajarajadeva – 15th Year.

This records a gift of 64 bulls for burning two perpetual lamps in the temple by Araiyan Niranindan Sedirayan of Panangudi a “follower” of (the chief) Siyan Sambuvarayar. The donor is said to have also made further gifts to the god, of two gold ornaments, a silver plate and two lamp-stands.

Manikanthesvara Temple – On The Same Wall.

Tribh. Rajarajadeva – 8th Year.

This is an incomplete inscription recording a gift of cows for “half” a perpetual lamp in the temple by one Selvappillai alias Siyagan[gan] of Kurrangudi (a quarter) of Panaipakkam in Uvarur-nadu, who is called a Dural-araisar-mudali of Kundalur.
