Records that two copper-plate grants registering the gift of the villages Animala and Nandimaṅgalam in one and Vēmpalle and Poḷela in the other were obtained by Mahāmaṇḍalēśvara Guruvaya-Dēvachōḍa-Mahārāja, from the king through Śrīraṅgarāja Rāmarāja ; and the four villages mentioned therein were now gifted away by him to the temple at Animala on the occasion of Śivarātri, for the daily worships of god Saṅgamēśvara at the confluence of the rivers Agahanāśinī and Pāvanī. The donor is said to be the son of Maṅgarāja and grandson of Bommarāja and to have belonged to the Kāśyapa-gōtra. Āpastamba-sūtra, Yajuś-śākhā and Sūrya-vaṁśa. A number of other persons are also mentioned as being present at the time of the gift. |
