161	Madura.─Salb excavated near the Ēḷu- kaḍaltīrtham in the Rāyagōpuram Street.	..	. . . .	Śaka 1438, Dhātu, Āvaṇi, 10, śu. 12, Saturday, Uttirāḍam.	Grantha and Tamil .	States that the Sapta-sāgara-tīrtha was dug in front of the temple of Śokkanātha by Śāḷuva Narasā-Nāyaka Narasayan, as the gift of Kṛishṇadēva-Mahārāya.

162	Tiruvorriyūr.─Slab built into the pavement of the antarāḷa in the Valmīkanātha temple.	Pallava	Nandippōttaraiyar, ‘who defeated (his enemies) at Teḷḷāru’.	18th year, 298th day	Tamil	Damaged. Registers an agreement given by the assembly of Nandiyambākkam ins Nāyaru-nāḍu, to burn two lamps before the god Mahādēva-Bhaṭārar at Tiruvorriyūr for the gold received by them from the king. In continuation of this is another damaged record of the same king dated in the same year, probably recording a similar endowment.
163	Salb built into the pavement of the south side of the first prākāra in the same temple.	Chōḷa	Rājakēsarivarman	6th year	Do.	Highly damaged. Seems to record the provision made for feeding a Brahman well-versed in the Vēdas at the time of the midday offerings of the god, by certain persons (names lost).
164	Another slab in the same pavement	Do.	Rājakēsarivarman alias[Rājarājadēva]	24th ,,	Do.	Begins with the introduction Tirumagaḷ pōla, etc. Incomplete and ends of lines of lines lost. Seems to make provision for garlands to the god by Uḍaiyān Pirāntakan . . . . , (an officer) of the king.
165	Third slab in the same place	Pallava .	Vijaya-Aparājitavarman	5th year (in words)	Do.	Damaged. Registers a gift of gold by a certain Kuṭṭiyāḷi- Brahmādhirājan for burning a lamp in the temple.
166	Pedestal of the image known as ‘Śaṅkara’ in the west side of the maṇḍapa round the centrals shrine in the same temple.			….	Do.	In characters of the 18th century A. D. Reads ‘Śrī Kāñchibīja (pīṭha ?) Mahādēvēndira-Sarasuvati śri’.
167	West wall of the outermost prākāra of the same temple.	Chōḷa	Tribhuvanachakravatin Vīrachōḷadēva ‘who having taken Madura, Īlam, Karuvūr and the crowned head of the Pāṇḍya, was pleased to perform the anointment of heroes and victors’.	31st year	Do.	States that the compound wall (tirumadil) of the temple at Tiruvorriyūr in Vikramaśōla-vaḷanāḍu, a subdivision of Pular-kōṭṭam in Jayaṅgoṇḍaśōla-maṇḍalam, was constructed by Āṭkoṇḍanāyakan alias Chēdirāyadēvar of Ādimaṅgalam. The work was supervised by Āṇḍār Rudradēva.
