Political parameters and guiding principles for resolving the protracted border question are
expected to be framed during Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao\92s three-day official visit to this country beginning April 9.
The special representatives of the visiting and host Prime Ministers will meet here prior to and during Mr Wen\92s sojourn to hammer out the guidelines, which will set the pace for finding a solution to the vexed border issue.
The necessity to evolve the political parameters and guiding principles was underlined by Mr Wen after his meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Vietiane, Laos, during the Asean plus four summit in November last year.
Beijing\92s new Ambassador to India Sun Yuxi observed that even as political relations between the world\92s two largest developing countries are on the brink of achieving a \93new high\94, the prospects of a free trade agreement (FTA) are also being actively considered.

Whenever it becomes a reality, it will be the largest FTA in terms of area covering a staggering population of 2.4 billion, Mr Sun said in an interface with mediapersons here today.
While acknowledging that Sikkim is an integral part of India and that \93this problem is over\94, Mr Sun held firm that 75000 sq km of Arunachal Pradesh is disputed territory. \93All disputed areas are open to further negotiations based on how the political framework and guiding principles are evolved.\94
