India is convinced Bangladesh is colluding with Pakistan's ISI in running at least 195 training camps for north-eastern insurgent groups, and on Monday decided to ask Dhaka to launch a joint operation to dismantle them.

To get Dhaka to agree to a joint assault, Delhi will offer a similar operation to eliminate camps of Shanti Vahini activists, alleged to be working out of India.

"We are prepared for a joint operation or an inspection if they think that there are any camps on our territory," Home Ministry's Joint Secretary (North-East) Rajiv Aggarwal said.
