Water Spout Bringing out
Offerings |
 |
The
artistically done water
spout carried the offerings
to Shiva out to the Northern
corridor near the
Chandikeswara shrine. The
story goes that Shiva was so
impressed by Chandikeswara's
love for him, that he
promised half of all his
offerings to his devotee.
This story shows the amount
of respect shown for
devotees for Shiva in Indian
culture.
The temple has extensive
rain water harvesting
facilities. |
