Soldiers Around the Vimanam

The Vimanam is lined with miniature horsemen in different battle scenes and most very unique. This shows that the Cholas had an advanced cavalry and were aware of different modes of warfare using horses. Also seen are different weapons such as swords, spears, and pikes carried by cavalry indicating that they were used for charging through, pursuing broken, and breaking through enemy formations.
