   Malaysia Expects 400K Indian Tourists

  As part of its "Visit Malaysia Year 2007," Malaysia is pitching for a 25 per cent rise in tourists from India to reach 400,000 this year using easier visa regimes, prizes, and shopping discounts.
     
 

As part of its "Visit Malaysia Year 2007," Malaysia is pitching for a 25 per cent rise in tourists from India to reach 400,000 this year using easier visa regimes, prizes, and shopping discounts. Malaysia expects 20.1 million global tourists to visit its shores and has organized over 240 events to make the visits memorable. More than 35 per cent of the tourists from India are expected to be from the South.
