   Informatica Plans Expansion

  The USD 325 million data integration software products company Informatica, is planning to grow its customer support services business from its India centre in Bangalore and handling one-third of its customer services.
     
 

The USD 325 million data integration software products company Informatica, is planning to grow its customer support services business from its India centre in Bangalore and handling one-third of its customer services. The Bangalore facility is the fastest growing outside headquarters in the U.S. and the center will service the Asia-Pacific region also.

With a modest start in 2004, the facility has doubled every year and currently has 150 people working in research and development, customer support services, sales, and marketing and is working on core products.

Informatica plans to expand operations in India and add new customers from the financial services, hi-tech manufacturing, telecom, retail and public sector segment. It currently boasts of its association with Tata Motors, Life Insurance Corporation, and ICICI as its major customers in India.
