Ahead of a tough message expected from the so-called permanent members of the U.N. Security Council and responding to Tehran's continue rejection of UNSC demands, India banned export of nuclear material, equipment, and technology to Iran.

Facing intense domestic and diplomatic pressure from Western and Iranian sides, India has decided to comply with the UNSC resolution passed last December imposing theses sanctions on Iran. Tehran has insisted on continuing with its enrichment policy in defiance of international suspicion of its intentions.

India has publicly stated that it does not want to see another nuclear power but also says that diplomacy and negotiations are the answer to the disagreement that threatens to turn the world into major chaos. India's decision comes at a time when there is increased domestic political pressure not to align itself with the U.S. over Iran.
