   Toyota's Small Car Plant

  Japanese car major Toyota Motor Corporation is reportedly planning an investment of USD 330-420 million to set up a small car plant near its existing facility near Bangalore with an initial capacity to manufacture 100,000 cars a year.
     
 

Japanese car major Toyota Motor Corporation is reportedly planning an investment of USD 330-420 million to set up a small car plant near its existing facility near Bangalore with an initial capacity to manufacture 100,000 cars a year. Toyota is in partnership with Kirloskar Motors with a 89:11 per cent ration and plans to capture 10 per cent of the Indian car market by 2010.

It plans to price this small car at Rs. 288,000 or USD 6550 (the lowest price for Toyota).
