Marking the 130th birth anniversary of Pakistan founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah, President Pervez Musharraf asserted that his nation will continue to invest in defense capabilities and that its “nuclear and missile power” are protected even from a “nuclear attack.”

Claiming to have “have tested the accuracy and capability of every missile,” Musharraf says that his nation’s “defensive system is so strong that even a nuclear weapons attack cannot damage or affect it.” Musharraf seem to suggest that while his nation is “not afraid of” or “does not face” any “external threat,” and that there is not external threat to Pakistan, the major threat is from “a few elements within” Pakistan who might “harm” his nation’s interests.
