Responding to Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri's statement that the two countries were close to an agreement on Siachen, an External Affairs spokesperson said that Pakistan is aware of India ’s “terms on which an agreement can be reached.”

The spokesperson also confirmed that this topic will be up for review when the foreign secretaries will meet November 14-15. Siachen is a glacier in the Himalayas that overlooks the Karakoram Pass that links Pakistan occupied Northern Areas in Jammu & Kashmir with China . It is the highest battle field in the world and is scene to some of the most dramatic and unreported conflicts between the two nations.
