   Govt to Maintain Borrowing Levels
 

 

Federal Finance Minister P. Chidambaram has said that the overall size of borrowing for the current fiscal year will remain at Rs. 152,856 (USD 33 billion).

It is not clear how the Government plans to maintain fiscal deficit at declared levels with increasing energy costs and inflation triggered by supply issues.
