India Intelligence Report

   Major Attack on RSS Foiled

Better intelligence data helped security forces stopped a potentially horrendous terrorist attempt by suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists to attack the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters at Nagpur. The LeT terrorists had apparently used an official looking white Ambassador car with a protocol light on top and were dressed in police fatigues.

Intelligence sleuths were following this car and when the car approached the RSS office they ordered the policemen in fortified positions to attack the car. Later, they found 3 terrorists armed with AK-56 assault rifles and 10 grenades. Police believe that the motive was to take over the site and hold those inside hostage.

There is also intelligence data that the Islamic terrorists are targeting right wing politicians and organizations.

The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party said that it is going on a Satyagraha to protest the lax attitude of the Government in dealing with terrorism.
