Iran Rejects US Preconditions for Talks

Iran rejected a conditional offer by the US for talks saying that it will not give up its “natural right” to enrich uranium but said it would be happy to talk to them.

Major world powers will meet in Vienna this week to discuss their options on Iran. The US threatened that it had agreements from Russia and China that it would pursue the sanctions option if Iran refuses the sweeteners that it offers.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki dismissed these threats saying that the offer by US Secretary of State is nothing new and criticized it for lack of logic.
