Nearly 2 weeks after Islamic rebels abducted and killed 12 Nepali workers, Congo terrorists have abducted 7 Nepali peacekeeping soldiers killing one of them and maiming 3. The United Nations is working to get them released. Last year a Nepali Major was killed while serving in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Nepal is the 5th largest contributor of peacekeepers to the United Nations.
