Police Registers Success against Terrorism

 

Police in different parts of the country reported successes in trapping terrorists from different religions and different groups.

A joint raid by West Bengal and Bihar police found a huge cache of arms and weapons belonging to the dreaded Khunkhum gang at a Kali temple in Halim Chowk in Bihar. The purpose of these arms is not known.

Karnataka captured a Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist in Gulbarga with two grenades, a pistol, live cartridges bound to destroy the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam in Andhra Pradesh. Originally from Goa, the terrorist Rehman lived mostly in Mumbai. He has apparently confessed that he had trained for 13 months in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and sneaked into Jammu in 2000.

Intelligence Sources say that they have traced Dawood Ibrahim’s side kick Tiger Memon to a restaurant in Dubai co-owned by a Mumbai hotelier and front-ended by some of Memon’s relatives. Memon is the prime suspect in the 1993 Bombay blasts. After that terrorist incident, he escaped to Pakistan, got a Pakistani passport and escaped to Saudi Arabia. Intelligence sources also said another Ibrahim’s associate, Chhota Shakeel, is also investing heavily in Mumbai real estate.
