   “Pakistani Taliban” Claims Responsibility

  The Pakistani Taliban with whom Pakistan had signed a peace agreement owned up to carrying out the suicide attack on an army camp in North West Frontier Province in response to the airborne attack on a Madrasa in the neighboring Bajur tribal district.

The Pakistani Taliban with whom Pakistan had signed a peace agreement owned up to carrying out the suicide attack on an army camp in North West Frontier Province in response to the airborne attack on a Madrasa in the neighboring Bajur tribal district. The unidentified caller claimed the attack in the name of his leader Abu Karim Mohammed Ansari for the “Pakistani Taliban” and promised that another 275 volunteers were ready to take part in suicide bombings.

Army sources say that they are neither familiar with the name of the leader nor the group. They claimed that investigations into the suicide bombing some 100 kilometers from Peshawar was “proceeding well” and they have “vital clues” from “DNA tests” performed on “Body parts of the suicide bomber.
